Due to the fact that half of the designers present lookbooks instead of real shows, it has become very difficult for us to look at the details: jewelry, shoes, intricate prints and embroideries. We suffer most of all because of the bags, which we just want to turn around and thoroughly study all those new silhouettes that designers showed in the fall-winter 2021 collections. But difficulties are not a hindrance to us - we still chose the main diamonds of this season and show them to you.
The main conclusion is this: the main trend in the world of bags is practicality, and every time we see a model that will fit a laptop, we rejoice as if it were the first time. We noticed such options, for example, at Fendi and Prada (even the new giant Cleo will fit a MacBook Air!). But Sunnei decided to go even further - their giant green tote will also fit a gym uniform, and perhaps even a removable bow. But the red Marni of immense dimensions will fit your whole life. It’s scary, though, to imagine how long it will take to find keys or lipstick in such a bag. No wonder it almost instantly became a meme.
As for less global trends, it’s worth noting color. Namely, the dominance of rich green, which captivated us at the beginning of February at men's Fashion Week. Green bags appeared in the A.W.A.K.E. collections. Mode, Salvatore Ferragamo and, again, Sunnei. And what we like most is that even if green is replaced by, for example, purple next season, you won’t want to get rid of your purchase, because this color is unlikely to start irritating you in a couple of months. We proclaim: green is the new black.
Another trend is fur. Faux, like Prada, natural, like Fendi, or colored - in the spirit of the 2000s - like Blumarine. In general, the choice is still yours. We're just showing you the best bags we saw this Milan Fashion Week.
