A polo shirt made of textured pique knitted fabric (Lacoste) is the standard of men's and women's smart casual style. Polo sewing technology requires impeccable geometry when processing the stitching strap of the button fastener, clean stitching of the knitted stand-up collar and neat design of the side cuts with keeper tape. In this video tutorial we demonstrate step by step the factory assembly of a polo shirt.

- Frequently asked questions (FAQ)
1. Polo strip blank
The planks are cut to a width of 3.0 cm in finished form and are completely duplicated with adhesive interlining G785. An exact stitching frame is marked on the shelf with an interval between lines equal to the width of the strip.
2. Bottom triangle
After stitching the strips, the shelf is cut in the center, an isosceles triangle 1.0 cm high is cut at the bottom edge, which is folded inside out and secured with a reliable tack.
3. Sewing the collar
The finished jacquard polo collar is inserted between the front and the placket, and the neck seam along the back is closed with cotton braid to match the fabric.
4. Side slits
The back of a polo shirt is traditionally made 2–3 cm longer than the front, and the side slits are reinforced with keeper braid with a triangular tack at the top.
Advice to the master
